Our Monument Free Walking Tours are mostly about the history of Spain and Seville since 1492 until now.
In 1503 Seville was chosen by Isabel and Fernando, ‘the Catholic monarchs’ as the incoming port with the monopoly of all the ‘Indian’ products with the construction of the ‘House of Trade’.
Seville lives as the biggest and richest city the Golden Age of Spain.

We will take you through a 2,5h journey along time in the historical center of Seville that will allow you to discover all about the history of this magical city.
The main meeting point is in the Plaza Virgen de los Reys but we will also pick you up in Oasis and take you to the main meeting point. From there we will start to explore the city.
This tour is mostly about the history of Spain and particularly Seville since 1492 until now. Did you know that in 1503 Seville was chosen by Isabel and Fernando, ‘the Catholic monarchs’ as the incoming port with the monopoly of all the ‘Indian’ products with the construction of the ‘House of Trade’? In this period Seville was the biggest and richest city during the Golden Age of Spain. On the tour you can see the main highlights of the city such as the Cathedral, Alcázar, Puerta Jerez, Hotel Alfonso XVIII, Prado San Sebastian, the old tobacco factory, the Maria Luisa Park and the beautiful Plaza de España.
Our guides are passionate and knowledgeable about this city that we consider one of the most beautiful in Spain. You will be surrounded by the charm of Seville and the smell of orange blossom in spring. Together with beautiful sunny weather there is nothing better than to get lost in the narrow streets of Santa Cruz or let yourself be amazed by Plaza de España.
Seville history is vast and rich. The romans ruled Seville for six centuries but it is the Muslim empire that had the biggest influence in our city. Nowadays you can still find many remainings of the Mudejar architecture such as the Giralda tower (the tower of the cathedral), Álcazar gardens or the Golden Tower just to mention a few. Out of curiosity did you know that the Koutoubia Mosque in Marrakech (Morocco) is almost identical to the Giralda tower? That the Saint Mary’s Cathedral is the gothic cathedral with the largest surface in the world? That no building in Seville can be built higher than the the giralda tower? That the tomb of Cristobal Columbus is located in the cathedral? These are some of the amazing facts that you will learn during our walking tour.
Seville is also the stage of 153 operas by so many famous artists as Beethoven, Mozart or Rossini and world-known operas as Carmen or the Barber of Seville have as main stage the streets of Seville and we will show you some of the sites where you can relive your favorite opera.
Don’t forget to use comfortable clothes, walking shoes, put sunscreen on and bring a bottle of water. In summer time temperatures get really high so we also recommend to bring a hat. We will find best places in the shadows to relax.
