With lockdown easing across Spain and Portugal, with careful consideration we have decided to slowly open our hostels starting with Malaga on the 6th & Toledo on the 3rd of July.
However, with this we need to ensure in as many ways as we possibly can, that we are returning safely. Following government guidelines and professional advice, we have developed an array of safety precautions that we will be taking in each of our hostels. As explained in our video below.
A brief reminder of safety precautions is listed here.

15th of March 2020 update
As the latest news on the Corona Virus outbreaks requires doubled attention and Portuguese and Spanish authorities discuss contention measures in both countries, the Oasis team is following all the Healthy and Safety guidelines as recommended by the World Health Organization.
Besides extra disinfecting stations throughout our facilities and extra support in our cleaning routines, our staff is being encouraged to not only look after theirs but of our clients’ hygiene. Payments via contactless and credit card are also prioritised to avoid unnecessary exposition.
As far as now, and up until further instructions from local authorities, we are accepting reservations and are doing our best to scatter our guests through our available dorms aiming to reduce the ratio of clients per room.
In the eventual case you are currently staying at one of our locations and are experiencing any of the following symptoms, please find one of team members for support:
- Shortness of Breath
- Dry Cough
- Fever
Isolation rooms have been assigned in all our locations for eventual suspect cases.
We highly recommend you to follow reliable news on how to travel in these difficult times via WHO’s platform but also feel free to contact our teams via our Social Medias for further information.
Cancellation Policy
As up until today, our 24 hours cancellation policy is still active. If your travel has been cancelled due official governmental impositions, please contact the respective hostel and our team will proceed with the process.
If you booked with a Travel Agency
In case you booked your bed via booking.com, Hostelworld or any other platform, we urge you to handle your cancellation directly with the selected booking channel.
Can I claim from my third party travel insurance if I choose not to come to a hostel?
Oasis can not advise on travel insurance’s behalf on how to proceed in these situations, so we suggest you to directly contact your insurance provider for further information.
